Raised in South Hill, Virginia,Dr.Cox has practiced in Chesterfield County since 1985. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a BA in biology. Her Doctorate in Optometry is from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr.Cox provides primary eyecare: vision care, detection and treatment of eye diseases,contact lens evaluation, low vision care,lasik evaluation, geriatric and pediatric care. She is a certified State of Virginia low vision examiner. Dr. Cox is on the board of the Chesterfield Prevent Blindness Lions Club and a past Meadowbrook Lions Club President.
Dr. Cox & family reside in Varina. She enjoys gardening,reading,travel,and attending UVa games.

As a licensed optometrist, Cox provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Cox is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Cox is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. Cox works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses.
